The Northern Regional Minister, Alhaji Mustapha Ali Idris, has warned that the security agencies will deal drastically with any group or individuals who attempt to disrupt the jubilee celebration in the region on March 6.
Alhaji Idris was reacting to speculations that some elements in the region were planning to disrupt events in the Tamale metropolis and other district capitals in the region.
He said the security personnel were closely monitoring the situation and would act decisively in the event of any disruption.
He stated that the celebration was for all Ghanaians, adding that it was very wrong for some people to exclude themselves or prevent others from taking part in the celebration.
He appealed to all patriotic citizens to take part in the celebrations.
