GHANAIANS have been urged to use the country’s Golden Jubilee Celebration as a period for the spiritual and physical liberation of the country.

Major Seth Appeateng, Accra Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army, made the call at a ceremony to outline the programme lined up for the annual convention of the Salvation Army at Tema.

He also entreated Ghanaians to learn to forgive one another adding that 'that is the tool for total reconciliation so as to heal the wrongs of the past.'

Major Appeateng appealed to radio phone-in contributors to show some sense of decorum whenever they comment on issues of national interest and refrain from insults.

'Since Christians form the majority of the country’s population the failure of the society would be an indictment on Christian principles,' he stated.

Major Appeateng therefore charged Christians to show a greater sense of responsibility towards the nation.
