A Brazilian investment team will visit the country next month to explore investment opportunities in the environmental and agricultural sectors.
The team would, among other things, look for partnership with local business institutions.
Brazilian Ambassador to Ghana, Luis Fernando Serra, announced the impending visit when he called on the Minister of Local Government, Envi-ronment, and Rural Development, Stephen Asamoah Boateng, in Accra on Wednesday.
He said the team has chosen Ghana as a key destination for investment in Africa, and lauded the bilateral cooperation between the two countries and hoped that the benefits of the long cooperation would improve through the visit of the team.
'I am here to strengthen our historical relation-ship,' Mr. Serra added.
Asamoah Boateng stressed the need for collaboration between Ghana and Brazil to achieved a sustainable environment management in the country.
He said the Ministry would look forward to learning from the rich experience of Brazil in urban development and environmental management.
