The Gospel Music Scene in Ghana has been blessed with the proliferation of gospel musicians and we have all enjoyed the good gospel music provided by these musicians.

However, very little has been done to teach, correct and scripturally direct the music types that are labeled gospel, from our pulpits and churches and even from the recording studios.

For example, unscriptural lyrics, wrong motives for singing, materialism and the temptation to appeal to non-Christians, which sometimes leads to compromise are some of the problems most gospel musicians are facing today.

But it appears a new dynamic group, known as the Ministers From Yahweh (MFY), is poised to address these problems, as their debut album recorded last year, has began to shake the air waves lately.

The well balanced group gender wise, which consists of Edmund Smith-Asante, Benjamin Nii Odartey Lamptey, Sarah Arhin (Mrs) and Patience Peterson, will officially release the album titled God' Love in April this year.

There are 10 inspirational tracks on the soon-to-be-launched album, made up of songs done in both English and local languages on the CD and eight tracks on the cassette, principally written and sang to replace sorrow with joy in the lives of many in the country and the world at large.

Way back in July 1999, the Lord began a great work by bringing together two young gentlemen and a lady to form what is now known as the MFY.

Interestingly, Edmund, Benjamin and Patience, joined later by Sarah had strong conviction to begin a music group with a difference to minister songs to both members of the household of faith and those outside.

At that point, all the group needed was some confirmation before going ahead and God being so good to them the confirmation did come, resulting in this inspirational album.

To Mr. Smith-Asante it has been seven exciting years of being together as a team and a dream come true for them.

According to Benjamin, the album has come out at the right time to reveal those plans God has for man and to quench the thirsty soul as well as set all free from bondage.

On the part of Patience and Sarah, the end product is obviously one that will be a great blessing to anyone who listens to the `God`s Love` album.
