The Ministry of Roads and Highways has provided evidence to rubbish claims that road construction has halted in Kumawu after the by-election last week.
This follows several reports in the media in the last 48 hours alleging that all the equipment used to fix the roads were nowhere to be found on Wednesday afternoon.
Speaking to TV XYZ, Nana Appiah who is the Ashanti Regional Correspondent of the media house said, “My checks from Bodomase and all the areas roads were being fixed showed that construction of roads had been halted.”
However, a Facebook post by the Ministry of Road and Highways indicates work is still ongoing in Kumawu.
Work on roads in the Kumawu Constituency of the Ashanti Region started in the run up to the by-election.
It did not go down well with the Minority as officials of the largest opposition party argued that it is a vote-buying attempt from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to win the election.
