TEMA YOUTH last Saturday suffered shipwreck when they lost 0-1 before home fans to visiting Heart of Lions in their Onetouch Premier league at the Tema Park.

It was the home side's second straight defeat in four days having bowed 1-2 to King Faisal in their midweek clash in Sunyani.

Substitute Osei Banahene's 61st minute strike separated the two sides when he cheekily placed the ball past keeper Ernest Sowah.

The Youth started brightly in the early minutes of the game but their endeavours failed to hit their targets.

In one of such expeditions, striker Ewdard Affum fired a goal-bound strike but Lions' Eru Adjei's clearance was timely to deny the home side the opener.

Three minutes after Youth had missed that chance, Lions' striker Sadat Bukari had the opportunity to put his side ahead but Sowah's intervention was timely.

Two clear chances presented itself to Youth's Gado Mohammed but failed to utilize them a minute to the break.

Before recess, Youth's Ahmed Liman capitalized on keeper Stephen Ahorlu's blunder but his delivery was poor.

The home side resumed the game more determined but they failed to match the well tactically organized visitors.
