Wasted chances marked the goalless scoreline in the 20th week Onetouch Premiership tie between Liberty Professionals and Tano Bofoakwa at the Carl Reindorf Park in Dansoman yesterday.

Not even a last minute raid on the Bofoakwa goal area by Kofi Nti Boakye, Mohammed Rabi and Ayew Yeboah could change the scoreline.

The Liberty lads began the game with a more attack-oriented approach which resulted in the creation of some good chances. Left winger Kissi Boateng missed the Bofoakwa goal by inches in the 18th minute after curling a solo effort past goalkeeper Yaw Kumapre.

A low free-kick from Liberty's Danladi Sherrif slipped through goalkeeper Kumapre's hands but was saved again by the latter after a Kofi Nti Boakye rebound.

The visitors resumed play after recess with more pace upfront after the introduction of Opoku Antwi and David Sarkodie. Five minutes into the second half, however, a goal-bound shot from Sarkodie was saved by goalkeeper Patrick Antwi with an elastic stretch.

Liberty's Mohammed Rabi joined the order of missed chances when he tapped Felix Baffoe's flick into the waiting arms of goalkeeper Yaw Kumapre.

And five minutes to regulation time, Bofoakwa goalie Yaw Kumapre pulled another brilliant save from a rebound after a scramble at his goal mouth in which Felix Baffoe's header bounced off the woodwork.

Liberty's Kojo Mensah was adjudged the Onetouch man of the match.
