Former Central Regional Minister Kwamena Duncan believes Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia is destined to become Ghana’s next president.

According to Duncan, opponents of Bawumia’s leadership will never succeed.

Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show, Duncan affirmed that Ghanaians and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have accepted Bawumia.

“Now the issue about Bawumia is that being against him is like trying to push back the sea. That is the current situation of Bawumia on the grounds, anyone who is not a part of the campaign and is in an opposing camp is like going to the seashore and attempting to push back the sea waves,” he noted.

Duncan is convinced Bawumia’s presidency has divine support and blessing.

“By the grace of God, the road is clear, Ghanaians and the party have welcomed him and God has already raised his hands on Vice President Dr Bawumia,” he stated.

With Duncan and many backing Bawumia believes capable of retaining power.

However, his candidacy is being challenged by other formidable candidates such as Alan Kwadwo Kyeremateng, Kwabena Agyei Agyapong, Kennedy Agyapong, Francis Addei Nimo, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto and others.
