Leading airline on the continent, Ethiopian Airlines has launched additional four times weekly night flight services to Accra.

The launch was held in Accra on Tuesday, March 28.

Delivering an address at the launch, Mrs. Aniley Eshetu, Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia said the move is a continuation of the commitment to better serve the Ghanaian travelling public.

“Moreover, these new additions coupled with our daily morning flights will enable us to connect Accra eleven times a week to our expanding global network spreading across five continents,” Mrs. Aniley Eshetu revealed.

She continued, “this evening, while officially launching Ethiopian evening flights as of Accra, Ethiopian Airlines is once more affirming its commitment to serve the Ghanaian travelling public with more convenience and time efficiency.”

With the new evening flights, the travelling public from Ghana will be connected same morning to Africa, same day to BOM, DEL, Same day to DXB, same day to IST, TLV among others.

Before ending her address, Mrs. Aniley Eshetu thanked the people and the Government of Ghana for their support throughout the long journey to launch the new night flights.

She stressed that her outfit with continued patronisation, projects more successful and commendable service years ahead.

Speaking at the launch of the night flights, Mrs. Pamela Djamson-Tettey, Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited said her outfit has no doubt that it will offer more connectivity options for travellers.

She said her outfit is hoping that this new service will also make travelling affordable.

“The new evening service will undoubtedly offer more connectivity options for travellers in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. We hope that this will provide the needed competition and offer travellers affordable fares.

"We wish to assure Ethiopian Airlines, that we will provide them with the needed “support for a smooth facilitation at Kotoka International Airport,” Mrs. Pamela Djamson-Tettey said in her remarks.

As a veteran Pan African Airline committed to connect Africa together and to the rest of the world, Ethiopian Airlines has been playing vital roles in enabling air transport services, thereby contributing to the social, economic and political development of the continent Africa.

Currently, deploying 143 modern aircraft, Ethiopian serves 131 international passenger and cargo destinations, including 63 African cities with daily and multiple flights with a minimum layover in Addis. Ethiopian Airlines also has 35 ultramodern aircraft on firm order.
