Ethiopian Airlines' new evening service will offer more connectivity options for travellers – Ghana Airport Company

The Ghana Airports Company Limited has welcomed the new night flights launched by Ethiopian Airlines in the country.

Ethiopian Airlines on Tuesday, March 28, officially launched additional four (4) times weekly night flight operations to Accra.

With the new evening flights, the travelling public from Ghana will be connected same morning to Africa, same day to BOM, DEL, Same day to DXB, same day to IST, TLV among others.

According to Ethiopian Airlines, the move is to improve its services in Ghana with additional frequency to serve as a continuation of the same commitment to better serve the Ghanaian travelling public.

Speaking at the launch of the night flights, Mrs. Pamela Djamson-Tettey, Managing Director of Ghana Airports Company Limited said her outfit has no doubt that it will offer more connectivity options for travellers.

She said her outfit is hoping that this new service will also make travelling affordable for Ghanaian travellers.

“The new evening service will undoubtedly offer more connectivity options for travellers in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. We hope that this will provide the needed competition and offer travellers affordable fares.

"We wish to assure Ethiopian Airlines, that we will provide them with the needed “support for a smooth facilitation at Kotoka International Airport,” Mrs. Pamela Djamson-Tettey said in her remarks.

She continued, “on behalf of the Board and Management of Ghana Airports Company Limited, I wish to congratulate Ethiopian Airlines on the launch of the additional four (4) times weekly night flight operations to Accra.

Mrs. Pamela Djamson-Tettey further intimated that the Ghana Airports Company Limited will continue to provide the needed facilities and services for a pleasant travel experience, in line with its mission of providing world-class facilities and services for the benefit of our stakeholders.

Already, Ethiopian Airlines operates daily flights from Addis Ababa to Accra. The new night flights will complement Ethiopian Airlines’ regular midday flights, making Ethiopian Airlines the largest operator by frequency (11 times per week) servicing Kotoka International Airport.

In a brief address at the launch, Mrs. Aniley Eshetu, Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Liberia gave the assurance that the airline is committed to providing the best service to Ghanaian travellers.

“This evening, while officially launching Ethiopian evening flights as of Accra, Ethiopian Airlines is once more affirming its commitment to serve the Ghanaian travelling public with more convenience and time efficiency,” she shared.

Mrs. Aniley Eshetu also took time to express appreciation to the government of Ghana for the support throughout the process to introduce the new night flights service.

“Once again, on behalf of the Ethiopian Airlines family, I would like to thank the people and the Government of Ghana for the support throughout this long journey. With your continued patronization, we project towards more successful and commendable service years ahead,” she noted.
