Nigeria High Commission in Ghana Discusses Sponsorship of Africa Monologue Challenge Finalist

The Nigeria High Commission in Ghana has met with the organizers of the Africa Monologue Challenge to discuss the possibility of sponsoring the trip of the Nigeria finalist to Accra. The meeting was held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Nigeria High Commission in Accra, Ghana. In attendance were Mrs. Cecelia Francis Eteng; Minister’s Counselor and Mrs. Okoro Wanyiko; First Secretary, who represented the High Commissioner. Organizers of the Africa Monologue Challenge were represented by Mr. Mawuko Kuadzi; CEO of MK Casting and Mr. Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin; Executive Director of the African Chamber of Content Producers.

During the meeting, the Nigeria High Commission in Ghana expressed its commitment to supporting Nigerian talent and creativity. Mrs. Cecelia Francis Eteng, Minister’s Counselor, reiterated Nigeria's strong cultural ties with Ghana and the importance of promoting African culture on the world stage. She congratulated the organizers for initiating such an event that seek to unite the continent of Africa through culture.

Mrs. Okoro Wanyiko, first secretary of the Nigeria High Commission expressed her excitement for Rose Okeke for making it to the final ten of the competition and pledged the High Commission’s support to reach out to the necessary government agencies in Nigeria to provide any available support for her.

“ We are determined to see Rose win this competition, therefore we will provide all possible support she may need to ensure she gives her maximum performance during the final event” she stated.

The Africa Monologue Challenge is a prestigious competition that seeks to promote the talent and creativity of African actors and actresses. The competition is open to all Africans around the world, and finalists are selected through a rigorous selection process.

The organizers of the Africa Monologue Challenge expressed their gratitude to the Nigeria High Commission in Ghana for its support of the competition. They noted that the Nigeria finalist, just like the other nine finalists is a talented actress who has a great chance of winning the competition.

The Nigeria High Commission in Ghana further promised to solicit community support for their finalist in the Africa Monologue Challenge. They also pledged to provide financial and logistical support for the finalist's trip to Accra.

The organizers of the event expressed their appreciation for the Nigeria High Commission in Ghana's support and promised to work closely with the Commission to promote African culture and talent.

The Africa Monologue Challenge finals is scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana, on 27th May 2023 at the UPSA Auditorium. The competition is expected to attract a large audience from across the African continent and beyond.

The Nigeria High Commission in Ghana has called on Nigerians living in Ghana to support the Nigeria finalist in the Africa Monologue Challenge. The High Commission has also encouraged other African countries to support their respective finalists and promote African culture on the world stage.

The meeting between the Nigeria High Commission in Ghana and the organizers of the Africa Monologue Challenge is a positive step towards promoting African talent and culture. It demonstrates the commitment of African countries to supporting their own and working together towards a common goal.

According to the organizers, the winner of the competition will be inaugurated as a Pan-African Trade ambassador, as he/she would be able to promote the AfCFTA in a more creative and exciting way. The winner will also be involved in campaigns to promote inter-regional trade and collaboration, as well as use their influence to inspire more people to engage in regional trade. The winning country also gets to host the next edition of the Africa Monologue Challenge.
