Mahama tours Western Region to intensify campaign for president

Former President, John Dramami Mahama is this weekend continuing his campaign to become the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general election.

The leading member of the NDC on Wednesday officially filed his nomination forms to contest the flagbearer elections of the largest opposition party.

Early in March, he launched his campaign for President at an event hosted at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, (UPSA).

Since then, he has toured various regions to campaign in his efforts to convince delegates to choose him as the next NDC flagbearer.

In a post on Facebook today, John Dramani Mahama has announced that he is starting a tour of the Western Region today.

The campaign tour of the region will continue through the weekend and will be climaxed on Sunday, March 26.

This week, John Dramani Mahama has launched a campaign fundraising platform to illustrate how politicians generally and political parties can broaden and make more transparent, their sources of financing.

At the event, he appealed to Ghanaians, both at home and abroad to support him with monetary contributions to help his bid to become President again.

He argues that he has the priceless experience and will build the Ghana everybody wants when given the chance to lead the country again.
