The National Organizer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Yaw Asani Tano, has lamented the high cost of items in the country.

He posited that the Akufo-Addo-led NPP administration has driven the country into a ditch leaving Ghanaians to suffer alot.

Speaking on Accra-based UTV, the LPG member noted that prices of goods have currently escalated to the point where some of them are difficult to purchase.

He noted that the government’s "One District, One Factory" flagship programme has failed to tackle the situation.

Adani stated that most citizens find it very difficult to buy even toilet rolls.

"I don't hate the government; I'm speaking to the realities on the ground. Most of the companies under the One District, One Factory programme are manufacturing tissues, so how is it that tissues are expensive now and we can't afford them?

"To be very honest with you, most Christians are now doing ablution just as Muslims do after easing themselves. We are all doing ablution now, just because we can't afford toilet rolls," he claimed.

"I'm telling you this for a fact; I'm an example... God is my witness; the cost of production in Ghana has become unbearable," Mr. Adani Tano stressed.
