THE FORMULA:
Always remember to choose a candidate for both President and Vice President in the following manner:

CHRISTIAN PRESIDENT (North/South/East/West)
MUSLIM VICE PRESIDENT (North/South/East/West)

This golden formula is based on the statistics that Christians form the majority of the population of Ghana, making up about 70%, Muslims about 15%, and other religions 15% This was conceived and accepted by the party's forefathers after considerable discussions and the use of contemplations. The mathematical formula has helped the NPP party to perform well in the various elections held in Ghana. Below are three censuses 2000, 2010, and 2021 to prove the statistics and later the formula:

Statistics Ghana
Religious affiliations
Affiliation 2000 census 2010 census 2021 census

  • Christian 68.8% 71.2% 71.3%
  • Pentecostal 24.1% 28.3% 31.6%
  • Other Protestant 18.6% 18.4% 17.4%
  • Catholic 15.1% 13.1% 10.0%
  • Other Christian 11% 11.4% 12.3%
  • Muslim 15.9% 17.6% 19.9%
  • Traditional 8.5% 5.2% 3.2%
  • Other 0.7% 0.8% 4.5%
  • No religion 1.1%

SHORTCOMINGS OF THE FORMULA
Many people have read meaning into this formula and say all sorts of things that connote discrimination and tribalism. The fact is that our forfathers were wise and resolved to generalize it since they were not willing to let people come out with their own interpretations. This will marr the beauty of the formula. Being lawyers, they knew some unscrupolous fellows will a contention and bring their legacy into disrepute.

The formula, therefore, unlike a Will, lacks certain specifications which increase its shortcomings, but was made for the good purpose. For example, it did not talk about variables such as Ethnicity, Marital status, Educational background, Colour of Persons, Sex, etc, other than an average human who exhibits the characteristics of being called a Christian for Candidating for the President of Ghana, and Muslim, for Candidating for the Vice President.
