Bribery, theft, and embezzlement of funds are all forms of corruption. This phrase typically describes how an official abuses the authority and communication possibilities that come along with his official position for personal benefit in violation of the law and moral principles.

Since the beginning of time, humanity has battled this vice, but it has never been able to overcome the want to use power ownership to take other people's stuff. This problem was elevated to the level of collapse even before the Koran was made public. The Almighty thus forewarns of a serious sin of corruption or bribery in the Bible.

The Almighty recalls the corruption of the soul and the obliteration of one's own, in illegally possessing other people's things like money, property, and the like in each of his holy utterances. God intended to create a holy man when He created the first man, but as time went on, people started using their minds for other things, one of which is corruption.

Corruption can neither be fought effectively with the Bible nor the Koran, Ehud Olmert, a former Israeli prime minister, was sentenced to six years in prison in 2014, after being found guilty of accepting bribes in a real estate deal while serving as mayor of Jerusalem.

The Lord detests these six things, making a total of seven things that are abhorrent to His soul: prideful eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill innocent people, a heart that hatches wicked schemes, swift feet that rush into wickedness, and a false witness who spreads dissension among brothers. (Proverb.6:16–19)

We also come across perjury in the book of Proverbs: "Although a man's foolishness perverts his path, the Lord is still angry in his heart. However, the poor man is also left to be his friend. Riches bring many friends. A phony witness won't escape punishment, and a liar won't be saved. Everyone is a friend to the gift-giver, and many try to gain favor with the nobility." (Proverb.19:3–6)

Let's look at what the Bible has to say about this:

Woe to those who consider darkness to be light and light to be darkness; those who consider bitter things to be sweet and pleasant things to be bitter! Woe to those who are prudent and wise in their own eyes only!

Woe to those who, in exchange for presents, defend the wicked and deny the right of the lawful! Woe to those who are courageous enough to consume wine and powerful enough to make strong cocktails! Because they disregarded the Holy One of Israel's word and the law of the Lord of hosts, they will perish just as straw and hay are consumed by fire and flame, and its root will rot away and their bloom will spread like dust. (20–24) (Isaiah 5:)

What strategies should the good employ combat this evil? The Bible and the Koran contain God's words, which have proven to be quite powerful in persuading evil individuals to live moral lives. However, utilizing religious texts to combat corruption hasn't been as effective because many men of God are also corrupt.

For example, the Koran provides instances that aid in reducing this sickness, and corruption, much as the bible does with prayers and solutions. Islam's educational approaches for combating corruption include reciting the namaz, observing Eid, giving alms, and visiting the mosque on Fridays, where the Holy Father imparts a lesson on holiness in thoughts and deeds.

However, there is no indication that the words of the imams or pastors have had an essential impact on the activities of corrupt people. All of the pastor's sermons are ignored, thus some members of the congregation are still involved in a nasty trade. That indicates that the sermons of both pastors and imams are inadequate and do not satisfy modern standards.

As technology develops, both developed and poor nations now have access to contemporary tools for combating drug trafficking and corruption. Despite this, the Greens/EFA coalition stated in 2018 that it is believed that corruption costs the EU €904 billion annually.

We need to examine the enormous sum of money lost every year across the European Union. If Europe loses this much money every year despite having the means to fight crime, corruption, and money laundering, just think of the impact corruption will have on Africa, which does not have the means to fight corruption.

As a result, the punishment for corruption, bribery, and money laundering is now time in prison More than any other strategy, this has been effective against vice in both Europe and the US. As a result, prison sentences should also be used to tackle corruption in Africa, but they are unable to do so because everyone is corrupt.

In Ghana, corruption can take many different forms, such as being accepted into a school, earning a grade that was not earned, and hiring ghost workers, and there are still many instances and unforeseeable circumstances when those in positions of authority will exploit it for their own selfish ends. Even in Israel, where Jesus was born, there is corruption, and corrupt politicians are imprisoned.

I have tried to convince our leaders that if they are serious about battling corruption, parliament should implement the law mandating prison terms for dishonest politicians. I'll continue the fight.
