The death is reported of the Chief Executive of the Golden Beach Hotels, Kwame Gyampo.
Mr. Gyampo, a sickle cell patient is said to have died at the Nyaho Clinic yesterday evening after a short crisis.
The Golden Beach Hotels operate three of the country's most prestigious hotels including La Palm Royal and Busua Beach and Elmina Beach Resorts.
Mr. Gyampo celebrated his 62nd birthday on the 5th of December.
His death follows similar tragic losses to have hit the country's corporate world.
The Managing Director of the Super Paper Products Company, Kojo Bimpong and the Former director of the School Of Administration at the University of Ghana, Prof. Nkrumah are among a number of business icons to have died in the past month.
