Mahama completed the New Abirem Market which started in 1999

On 31st October 2016, President Mahama commissioned a newly constructed modern Market at New Abirem in the Eastern Region.

The construction of the market, which started in 1999 under the Agriculture Sector Improvement Programme (ASIP), was abandoned after the change of government in 2001.

But President Mahama recognising the importance of the market to the social and economic progress of the people of New Abirem, ensured its completion.

The market which is one of the best in the region has 70 lockable stores, 279 sheds, a butcher's shop, a day care centre, modern sanitation facilities and a lorry park, among other facilities.

Posterity will not forgive the people of Ghana if we do not support H.E. John Dramani Mahama to continue with his terrific works as president.

The first step to this lies on the doorsteps of the NDC. It must present him as its 2024 Presidential Candidate by acclamation. The last time someone said that we should try him and see, we all saw what happened. We don't want any ma try makwe biaa.
