Elvis has no match for NDC National General Secretary position - Agbenya Precious

A youth activist of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a member of the communication team and member of the NDC Regional youth working committee, Mr Agbenya also known as Emperor Blade has thrown his weight behind Elvis Afriyie Ankra.

He said Elvis Afriyie Ankra is the best man for the General Secretary position.

The former spokeperson for Hon. Kofi Lawson, former DCE Ketu North made this known in an interview with Oti Radio 101.5 FM on Friday morning 9th December 2022 in the Oti Region.

The host of the Oti Super Morning Show Mr. Sylvester Fomenya(Sly-K) posed series of questions to him about the credibility and competency of Hon. Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah.

"Elvis has no match, he has rich experience and is deeply rooted in the NDC culture and principles.

"He was former Minister for Youth and Sports in Ghana, Deputy National Campaign Manager for the NDC during 2008 elections, National Campaign Coordinator for 2012 Presidential Campaigns of the National Democratic Congress.

"He was also appointed Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development by President Mills. He was the Minister of State at the office of the president. He was elected as the Deputy General Secretary of the NDC in 2005 at the Koforidua Congress," Mr. Agbenya explained.

Mr Ankrah would be contesting alongside the current Deputy General Secretary, Dr Peter Boamah Otokunor and the former Member of Parliament for Ketu South and former Deputy Minister of finance, Fifi Kwetey.

Mr. Agbenya Precious believes Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah is a grassroot man, very courageous, brave and commands respect.
