The National Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagba has urged members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to criticise constructively.
He said the opposition is just criticising government’s efforts on the country’s debt exchange program.
The ruling party’s spokesperson acknowledged that the policy, though very difficult, is the best way to go in these difficult times.
Mr. Ahiagba called on Ghanaians to support the government, as it is put in place measures to change the current economic situation.
“The NDC is not convincing in its argument against the difficult but necessary debt exchange program. I don't hear alternative ideas.
“Pessimism is not how we will get out of this global crisis. We need leadership & this govt is providing it Let's support govt,” he said via a tweet on Monday, December 5.
Government has officially launched a debt restructuring programme to help restore the ailing economy.
