Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, government's spokesperson on governance and security, has stated that he does not think the accusations made by the Minority in the motion of censure calling for Ken Ofori Atta's resignation from office have any weight.

He refuted claims that the economic problems are a result of the recklessness of Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta.

Describing the motion as bogus, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah said the move is aimed at embarrassing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The allegations, according to Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, are untrue because Ken Ofori Atta followed all rules in performing his duties as Minister of Finance.

“I want to state that the Finance Minister(Ken Ofori Atta) has not been reckless in the management of the fiscal operations of the government," Palgrave Boakye-Danquah exclusively told Samuel Huntor on Adwenekasa on Accra-based Original FM 91.9

He added, "Instead, Ken Ofori Atta's arduous efforts to safeguard the public coffers have enabled this government to accomplish much, much more than any other government in every sector, including education, health, social welfare, policing, general security, roads, rail or the agriculture, industrialization, tourism, digitization and its anti-corruption posture."
