Fellow Ghanaians, I call on you to be a bit politically savvy in this era of global economic storm. With a little exhibition of patience by you in the midst of the current economic hardships engulfing almost every Ghanaian and mother Ghana, you will understand why we have come to this juncture in our economic emancipation.

In order not to bite your finger in regret in what may be "had I known...", I will entreat you to do some research to be abreast with global economic and political issues to better understand why Ghana is currently beset with economic problems which are not unique to her but a world phenomenon.

All was almost going well, despite the obvious chronic sabotaging attitude by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) against President Nana Akufo-Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. Things took turns for worse when Covid-19 pandemic reared its fatally-poisonous ugly head.

The economic situation was only to be exacerbated by the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, when efforts were being made by world leaders to deal with the aftermath of Covid-19.

Many a world country has their citizens currently confronted with harsh conditions of living all because of the ravages visited upon the world by the two mentioned devastating issues. Many a country is no exception to, or exempt from, the tormenting economic situation that has made many a Ghanaian yearn for the comeback of former President John Mahama to the presidency.

Oh, people of little faith, you could not bear with the president for a little while to witness the full implementation and successes of his farsighted policies and programmes tailored to lifting Ghana up from her decades-old economic let-down. You have been so frightened by the current devastating economic situation to rather see John Dramani Mahama as a Saviour hence singing his comeback songs.

I am calling on you to be fair-minded in judging both former President John Mahama of NDC and President Nana Akufo-Addo of NPP. In which of their governments had/has Ghana suffered pandemics and managed, or is managing, to come out successfully

There was no any known pandemic during the entire duration of former President John Mahama's NDC government, yet Ghana was ravaged by a permanent national power outage known locally as "dumsor". The "dumsor" collapsed many big, medium and small scale companies. Cold stores became the largest victims. Unemployment became the common experience in Ghana with Unemployed Graduates Association sprung up.

Under President Nana Akufo-Addo, "dumsor" has become a thing of the past.

The world has experienced a Covid-19 pandemic that forced countries to oblige their citizens to stay home from work and away from non-essential travels to avoid catching and spreading the deadly Covid-19 viruses. This impacted the world economy, culminating in global economic crisis.

Barely had the Covid-19 abated when the Russia-Ukraine war started and is ongoing, wreaking its own untold economic devastations on the world.

The above two major problems impacting on economies with their knock-on effect on the citizens, have taken place under the presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo. No wonder, therefore Ghanaians are going through severe conditions of living same as pertains in other developed and developing countries at the moment.

Ghanaians, President Nana Akufo-Addo is a visionary leader who has been laying solid foundations for the economic takeoff of Ghana. All his flagship policies and programmes are for that purpose.

Formal education including technical and vocational training as strengthened and in vigorous pursuit by President Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP government is a strong human resource foundation geared towards the economic upliftment of Ghana.

Consider the "One District One Factory" public-private partnership industries of various sizes. They are not only to create jobs for the people but also, to add value to our raw materials before exporting them to fetch us more money in addition to boosting local confidence in, and consumption of, homemade goods.

I can go on and on listing the implemented credible policies and programmes by President Nana Akufo-Addo, all of which are in the best medium and long term interests of Ghanaians.

Did former President John Dramani Mahama introduce any such policies and programmes? Did he introduce any social intervention policies of nationwide benefit to all Ghanaians? The answer is surely, a NO!

Look at the more quality asphalted roads constructed, or in construction, by President Nana Akufo-Addo. Did former President John Mahama construct about a tenth of such roads in Ghana during his tenure as Vice President, Caretaker President and substantive President of Ghana? The answer is undoubtedly a big NO!

Fellow Ghanaians, please don't compare apples to oranges for they are two different fruits.

Former President John Mahama does not come near President Nana Akufo-Addo when it comes to talking about who is visionary, competent, dedicated and dynamic enough to be delivering on his promises to get Ghana out of her economic woes.

Despite the fact that the white men do not want us to prosper, he is doing his best to bring prosperity to Ghana but only to be sabotaged by his clueless political opponent, John Dramani Mahama and his bunch of malevolent NDC sycophants and paid agents like that most insulting diarrheic-mouthed Kevin Taylor.

John Mahama by his overflowing shallow-mindedness, cluelessness and his disrespectfulness towards Ghanaians and malevolence towards his political opponents, makes him a total misfit in the post of president of Ghana. Subsequently, it will be suicidal for Ghanaians to vote him back to the presidency.

If you are fed up with NPP for reasons only best known to you, then go for a new face from the NDC, for example, Dr Kwabena Duffour but not the known insatiably greedy, corrupt and selfish Mr John Dramani Mahama, the sufferer of dead goat syndrome aka “odwanfonu”.
