The politician cum businessman also backed President Akufo-Addo's 'sika mpɛ dede' comment saying, "'Yes! 'Sika mpɛ dede.' The President said it right. If we begin to talk positively about our economy, things will normalize. No investor is ready to put his or her money in an ailing economy. So let's stop painting a bad picture about Ghana."

Speaking to Kumasi-based Nhyira FM, Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye appealed to Ghanaians to show their patriotism for the country despite the economic challenges.

"Fellow Ghanaians, as the French would say, l’argent n’aime pas le bruit, to wit, money does not like noise, sika mpɛ dede. Where there is chaos, where there is noise, where there is unrest, you will not find money.

"If you talk down your money, it will go down. If you allow some unidentifiable person to talk down your money, it will go down," he stressed.
