IBAG outline activities to mark Insurance Brokers’ Awareness month

The Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana (IBAG) is set to mark Insurance Brokers’ Awareness Month in style this October.

In a statement, IBAG has outlined several activities as part of celebrating the awareness month.

The many activities outlined by IBAG are geared towards addressing the low insurance penetration in Ghana.

According to IBAG, the low insurance penetration calls for consumer education and public awareness creation in insurance.

Among the activities, there will be radio interviews, an insurance show on TV, Education on Insurance and Career Opportunities in selected Senior High Schools in Greater Accra, and Presentations to various Trade Associations.

Apart from using traditional media and physical engagements, IBAG also plans to social media campaigns on the month’s activities as well as promoting animations and client video testimonials in respect of using an Insurance Broker.

The campaign would be climaxed with a media soiree on Friday 28^th October 2022 at the NIC Gardens.

The activities have been put together by the leadership of IBAG under the theme “The Insurance Broker, Your Gateway to Insurance” with the aim of reaching and educating various target groups on the role and relevance of Insurance Brokers in ensuring fair treatment, adequate cover at competitive rates, prompt settlement of claims and other benefits to the insurance consumer.
