Where are your men, let them catch the falling Cedi now — Mahama’s Aide jabs Gov’t

Joyce Bawa Mogtari, Special Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama is asking President Akufo-Addo to immediately wake his men from slumber.

After government boasted of having "the men" she is wondering their whereabou, particularly Vice President Bawumia, head of the Economic Management Team who she claims has suddenly become an IT guru.

Madam Mogtari, in a tweet spotted by Modernghana News on Wednesday, August 17, is urging the government to provide immediate solutions and revive the economy, particularly the falling Cedi.

She expressed disappointment at the Cedi's performance.

“The Ghanaian cedi now touted as the worst performing currency in the world after Sri Lanka according to Bloomberg…we need a solution and it must be quick! Where are the solid Men and Women led by Alhaji Bawumia?“ she wrote.

Her remark is in reference to the current performance of the local currency, which is currently trading at almost GHS10 per dollar.

According to Bloomberg's immediate currency survey, the local currency is the world's worst performing currency, trailing only the Sri Lankan Rupee.

Not only is the cedi tumbling, but the inflation rate has risen above 30%, making life unbearable for the populace.
