NDC UER: NDC elects Regional Chairman of Cadres

The Upper East branch of the United Cadres Front (UCF) of National Democratic Congress (NDC) has organized its regional elections to elect chairman to man the affairs of the party in the run up to the 2024 general elections.

The 40 members were drawn from the 15 Municipalities and Districts of the Upper East Region. At the end of the elections, Akologo Daniel Adoliba pulled 28 votes, to win the elections as the chairman of UCF against his two contenders Clement Akasoba 4 votes and Paul Dankan 8 votes.

In an interview with this reporter in Bolgatanga, Mr. Adoliba explained that, for a nation to advance, there is the need for good people who can keep the public purse properly to be given the mandate.

The newly elected Chairman of the Upper East Regional United Cadres Front in Bolgatanga. Mr. Adoliba said cadetship dates back to 1979 through to 1981 up to date. He noted that before democracy cadres were the implementer of the policies of the revolution. He added that whether developmental, social or political cadres were at the forefront exposing the principle of probity, accountability and transparency.

He stressed that the mandate of the cadres is to mobilise the grass roots and ensure that the NDC party wins power. Regarding women representation in UCF he stated that it is an area wealth considering and he will surely think into it to ensure women participation in cadres.
