Your unprecedented projects have made Northern Region attractive to investors — Regional Minister praises Akufo-Addo

The Northern Regional Minister, Mr Shani Alhassan Shaibu has commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for undertaking unprecedented development in the region.

The Minister made these remarks last week when the President paid a two-day working visit to the region to inspect ongoing projects and cut sod for new ones.

The Overlord of Dagbon, Ya Na Abukari II, also commended the government for starting the Yendi-Tatale and Yendi-Tamale highway projects when the President called on him at his palace.

He, however, appealed to the government to add the Gulkpegu-Nayili Fong road in Yendi to the dualization of the Yendi Township Road.

The Overlord also expressed gratitude to the government for the successful organization of this year’s Hajj from Tamale to Mecca.

Some projects the President inspected included the ongoing Agenda 111 district hospitals in Saboba, Mion and Kpandai.

The President also inspected the GHc9.2 Million Yam and Cassava Processing Factory by the Global Almas Processing Ltd under the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative.

As part of the Eastern Corridor roads, the President cut sod for the commencement of a 4km dualization road project in Yendi and Bimbila townships.

He also commissioned an administration block at the Bimbila EP College of Education.
