Mr. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema West Constituency has reiterated the party's confidence in "breaking the 8" in 2024.

He stated that regardless of who leads the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the party will be victorious.

Speaking to the media, the former Deputy Trade and Industry Minister noted that the NDC is planning to play the tribal card as usual.

“I think that the NPP will do well and will win the 2024 presidential election wherever we pick our candidate from. I am confident about that.

“It is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that is panicking and trying to play ethnic politics. I am not surprised because that has been their stock in trade,” Mr. Ahenkorah noted with confidence.

He emphasized that the NDC always try to portray to the public that the ruling NPP is a discriminatory party, which they (NDC) have failed.

“We don’t do that in the NPP. We are not looking at the NDC to determine what we do. They are the ones studying us,” he said.
