An astute businessman and aspiring National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Prince Kamal Gumah has stated that his track records within the party make him the preferred choice for the position.

He stated that he has worked as a border guard in 1996 to prevent foreigners from voting in the Northern part of the country at a tender age with his father and grandfather.

He also added that his commitment to ensuring the success of the party in the diaspora was remarkable.

"I joined the North American branch in 2005 where I worked with the likes of Hon. Asenso Boakye. So we worked till 2012. I was then appointed as Nasara coordinator for the New Jersey chapter till 2018. And I was elected in 2018 as the organiser of the New Jersey chapter and I was appointed as Deputy Youth Organiser of the entire branch of the USA.

"In 2016 I was part of the group that adopted over 125 constituencies to support the NPP to win power. We supported the NPP with resources, and logistics for the famous constituency, Saboba to ensure we win the power for NPP.

Mr. Prince Kamal Gumah disclosed constituencies and individuals that benefited from his philanthropic activities.

"I supported most constituencies, in the 2020 elections, I donated 76 motorbikes to 24 constituencies, I constructed another 49 boreholes for 28 communities and most of the regions around the country benefited from my activities to support Nana Addo to win the election.

"When we were rolling out the trainer trainees program, I personally adopted another constituency to support them with food, drinks, and money for them to feed their polling agents. I was also part of more than 10 campaign teams.

He stressed that the party's agenda of securing total victory depends on the youth, adding that he will work closely to ensure it yields results.

"My first Constituency tour across the country was to see why in 2020 John Mahama was able to acquire that vote. My first tour was with the youth of this party even with what Nana Addo's government has acquired within 4 years was not reflected in the youth.

"70% of Nana Addo's vote came from the youth and if the youth are dissatisfied where is the youth," he said.

The development and progress depend on the progress of the youth.

Mr. Gumah hinted at creating an 'opportunity for all' for youth in order to empower as well as create more significant resources.

"The youth of our party needs more than just empowerment and you resource them very well and go out there to work and opportunities," he indicated.

"My number policy is to help youth organisers to have a permanent seat at the scholarship secretariat committee at their district level.

"If you are a youth organiser in your district and you are a committee member that interviews Ghanaians for scholarships definitely you are telling your constituency that you are in the right position to help your party.

"My policy of helping TESCON and party members to have scholarships is to make sure the youth organiser is part," he said.

He added that he would use the opportunity to also enrich the skills of youth through training programs, equipping them with resources to enable them to build their self-esteem levels.
