NPP Akatsi South: 8 executives retain seats in NPP constituency election

Mr Kudzo Abledu, Akatsi South branch of New Patriotic Party's (NPP) constituency chairman has retained his seat as with 7 other executives in the constituency elections that was held at Akatsi on Monday May 2,2022.

He managed to pull 492 votes out of 665 votes casted, beating his close contender Mr Anakpa Yohaness who had 113 and Mr Felix Nugor Yesman with 44.

16 votes where rejected.

Mr E.T Gkeve also maintained his position as the NPP 1st vice chairman which he won by popular acclamation since he went unopposed.

The 2nd vice chairman position went to Mr Wunorkpah Quarshie Gershon who retained his seat with 472 votes while his close contender Mr Divine Ahedor pulled 162 votes with 16 rejected ballot papers.

Long time serving constituency secretary Mr Egos Ocloo Mawuli won massively with 509 votes beating Mr Agbovi Felix Confident who gathered 145 votes with 8 rejected ballots.

Deputy secretary position went to Mr Patrick Agboyibor who beat Mr Guy Yao Akaglah narrowly with 3 ballots by accumulating 328 to 325 with 7 rejected.

Mr Dzadu Badu Michael won the organizer's seat back by receiving a massive votes of 436 as against Mr Hedey Godfred Kwabla who had 214 with rejected 18 ballot.

Mr Shine Foster Agorsor, who double as the Assembly member of Xavi electoral area gathered 349 votes to snatch the youth organizer position from Mr Mensah Kadzaku and Mr Prince Kofi Avulekpor who both had 259 and 50 votes respectively with 4 rejected ballots.

Mr Saddiq Abubakar Ganna maintained his seat with 538 votes beating Mr Adotey Ibrahim Yellow who got 106 votes with 16 rejected.

Mr George Aho and Madam Veronica Sakpaku maintained their positions as the constituency Treasurer and Women Organizer respectively after going unopposed.

In all 665 delegates from 132 polling stations accross the constituency exercise their franchise to elect the executives.

Many delegates expressed worried about how the election was conducted with some saying their names were missing from the constituency party register making them unable to vote during election.
