Accra, Oct 12, GNA - The male and female veterans teams of Ghana over the weekend beat their counterparts from Benin and Togo to win the first Triangular Handball Tournament at the Prisons Sports complex in Accra .
A statement signed by Saka Acquaye, Secretary General of the Ghana Handball Association (HAG) said the Ghanaian team led by Christiana Dodoo, the current Secretary General of the Women in sport Ghana (WORPAG) beat their Togolese counterparts 9-8 before they went on to beat Benin 11-10 in the female edition.
In the men's division, the Ghanaians beat their Beninios counterparts by 15-7 before proceeding to defeat their Togolese counterparts 10-7 in the second match.
The triangular games was sponsored by sports enthusiasts like Palma Sarkodie of All Lines Travel and Tour, Gabriel Missodey, Jerugen Langer, Togbe Agbotse II (Proprietor of Fafa Royal Hotel) Mr Ebo Quansah, President of Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) and Mr B.T Baba, President of the HAG. 12 Oct 04
