03.03.2022 LISTEN

Can a man sue God and win? If a man takes God on, who will mediate the case? What happens to a man who takes God to court and loses? These are a few of the many questions running helter-skelter on the minds of people as they gear themselves up for I WANT TO SUE GOD! happening this weekend at National Theater.

Kobina Ansah’s satirical stage play takes a swipe at society and how we tend to blame everybody except ourselves when we run into trouble. Throwing the spotlight on weddings, a young man invests his lifetime savings into a wedding only to find out his supposed heaven-sent wife is not what she appears to be. Feeling scammed, he goes on a rampage to sue the one who instituted marriage.

First staged in 2016, I WANT TO SUE GOD! touches on sensitive societal issues many people face at a point in their lives. Like every Kobina Ansah play, this play is loaded with lessons and great humor. The playwright is known for plays such as Emergency Wedding and The Boy Called A Girl among others.

I WANT TO SUE GOD! is happening on Saturday, 5th and Sunday, 6th March, 2022 at National Theater at 3pm and 7pm each day. More details on www.scribeproductons.com.
