The Founder and Director of the St. Maximilian Kolbe Education Complex have taken it upon himself to employ graduate teachers into his school to teach in Ghanaian Language (Kusaal).

The former Northern Regional Education Director has vowed to promote and sustain the reach culture of Kusaug.

Mr Paul Apanga who is also the former President of GNAT noted that research has also proven that any person who takes the mother tongue seriously will be able to learn other languages efficiently without difficulties.

According to him, it is for this reason his school has made the Kusaal and French languages a very important subject.

He called on teachers and parents of the Kusasi tribe in Ghana and beyond to teach their children the local dialect to sustain their identity.

He noted that teaching children and giving them local names will help them trace their roots when they grow into adults.

According to the director, it is regrettable how parents nowadays fail to teach their children their dialect.

Mr Paul Apanga made the call at the graduation ceremony for kids in the nursery to kindergarten and from primary 6 to Junior High School one.

Headmaster of Zebilla Senior High Technical School, Richard Akumbas Ayaabilla noted that good foundation from the kindergarten, lower primary, upper primary up to JHS will help the students build their confidence level when crossing over to Senior High School.

They were recitals of poems and drama displayed at the ceremony.
