First National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chief Sofo Awudu Azorka

has accused the Damongo Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Hon Samuel Abu Jinapor of using the COVID-19 funds to win the seat.

Chief Azorka made the comment on 18th January, 2021 in Damongo during a working visit to the region.

He indicated that the NDC is preparing to win back the seat.

He branded the Damongo seat as a COVID-19 seat which was bought through the busing of people into the constituency.

He urged the people of the Damongo Constituency and all the seven constituencies in the region to vote for NDC to recapture power in 2024.

Sofo Azorka also asked for prayers for former President John Dramani Mahama to lead the NDC again in 2024

On the security of the Speaker of Parliament, Chief Azorka said that Alban Bagbin is an experienced man in politics who has protected himself all these years without the military and capable of doing same.

According to him, the plans by government to withdraw the soldiers attached to the office of the Speaker of Parliament to hit at him is a joke.

He said the NPP cannot frighten the speaker who he described as a veteran politician.
