I don’t understand why every 4years we have to replace Mahama's vehicle — Pius Hadzide

Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA) Pius Hadzide has said government should consider stopping the replacement of vehicles of the former Presidents John Dramani Mahama and John Agyekum Kufuor every four years.

His comment follows a call by NPP Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Mr Patrick Yaw Boamah, who holds the view that government has a responsibility to cut down its expenditure and be transparent to the very people they asking to pay tax.

Mr Hadzide, a former Deputy Information Minister said on TV3 morning show that “The MP is an NPP MP and that is our attitude. We mean well for this country, we are not the NDC MPs who will say that Party first before Ghanaians”.

The host of the show questioned whether it was right for former President John Agyekum Kufuor to keep enjoying same.

He stated, “I agree, there are many areas we can look at because I don’t understand why every four years we have to replace John Mahama vehicle. I don’t understand why we should do that for Mr Kufuor and Mr Mahama. I don’t understand why we should do that every 4 years. So, it is an area we can look at.”
