Wisemen Do Not Defend Democracy with Lies

He waged a relentless and destructive political personality battle against the now-President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for nearly a decade and got irredeemably and irrecoverably beaten and burned thoroughly to ashes. But like a desperate fanatical jihadist, the inveterate Akufo-Addo detractor refuses to budge and be permanently and resoundingly buried with his ashes, although any impactful or meaningful contribution that he may have once had effectively evaporated once his target of torrent vitriol and wanton abuse triumphantly acceded to the Presidency and handily outperformed all his four preceding Fourth-Republican predecessors. But, still, the Idiot-of-Irmo, South Carolina, would not budge. You may not like him, and that is perfectly your inalienable entitlement, but you have to charitably concede him his indescribably epic stupidity which is also clearly reflected on his visage. His face looks clinically morbid like a ball of stale overnight half-eaten fufu.

He had even been once named Communications Director of the Akufo-Addo 2008 Presidential Campaign, its being part of a party-wide conciliatory compromise rather than being squarely based on sheer competence. He would use most of whatever little modicum of propinquity he had gained into the privacy and confidence of the now-President Akufo-Addo, by way of an insider’s knowledge, vis-à-vis the operations and dynamics of the most prominent and foremost post-Agyekum-Kufuor leadership of the New Patriotic Party, most of which he would deviously embellish and viciously falsify, in a strategic bid to feathering the cap of Nana Akufo-Addo’s closest challenger for the Presidential Nomination of the NPP to sabotage his former boss and paymaster, but predictably and absolutely to no avail. Now, need I tell the Dear Reader that this avowed and sworn Akufo-Addo detractor is an epically failed and seismically defeated megalomaniac?

So, recently, when he wrote and published a rather spacy column with the characteristically pretentious title of “Defending Our Democracy” (Modernghana.com 1/7/22), it was pretty obvious that the feller had absolutely no inkling about what he claimed to be talking about. It was all about his own typically peculiar version of what Americans have come to know within the past year as the Trumpian-fabricated Big Lie. In this instance, the defeated inveterate Akufo-Addo detractor claimed that last year’s terroristic storming of Capitol Hill, that is, the United States’ Congress, had resulted in the death of only one person. Conversely, this nondescript professionally trained physician claimed that the South-Techiman or Techiman-South election-related violent incident that reportedly took a couple of lives in the heat of Ghana’s 2020 General Election, in the Akufo-Addo-created Bono Region, had resulted in the deaths of some 10 people. The truth of the matter is that at least five people, including some brutally mauled Capitol Hill police officers, had lost their lives in the widely and commonly alleged Trump-instigated siege on the United States’ Congress Building on January 6, 2021.

So, right there and then, it was unarguably obvious that the glaring intent of the author of “Defending Our Democracy” was anything but a story or narrative that was chockfull of credibility of the kind and sort that would have nobly empowered him to successfully and masterfully undertake the contents or details of the thematic title of his narrative. By the way, over the course of the past decade, this dirt-digging anti-Akufo-Addo Propagandist has more than amply demonstrated that not only is he practically incapable of “Defending Our Democracy,” that is, Fourth Republican Ghanaian Democracy, he is also indisputably a congenital and a pathological liar. And as we, all of us, may be well aware of by now, congenital and pathological liars never really made credible storytellers or credible defenders of any viable democratic culture anywhere on Planet Earth.

Now, The Idiot-of-Irmo, South Carolina, also claims that at least 10 people had lost their lives in the forensically well-established ballot-snatching incident in the Techiman-South Constituency, largely by professionally certified nation-wreckers recruited by the leadership of Ghana’s main opposition political party, the National Democratic Congress. The officially authenticated figure is at the most half the figure given by the Akufo-Addo detractor, including one minor or youthful bystander who ought not have been at the polling station concerned at the time of the incident and was the innocent victim of a crossfire between detailed police personnel and the suspected ballot-snatchers.

The Idiot-of-Irmo also mendaciously claims that the Techiman-South incident was never investigated by the relevant authorities of the Akufo-Addo Administration. Here again, there exists incontrovertible evidence that of all the five Fourth-Republican governments that have steered the affairs of our beloved Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana, including the present government, of course, it is only President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the man whom the godforsaken Idiot-of-Irmo has published dozens and tons of media columns insisting is the most violent of all Ghanaian leaders and politicians, who has established Commissions of Inquiries into election-related and politically motivated deadly incidents of violence.

This is rather pathetic, but it is perfectly in character with this thoroughly and effectively defeated self-infatuated and self-important politically expired detractor. The man obviously deserves more of our pity than our withering or round condemnation. And so shall it be.
