Bright Simons' reaction to Salifu Amoako's prophecy that economy will grow by 7%

Honorary Vice President of Imani Africa, Bright Simons, has reacted to a prophecy by the Leader and Founder of Alive Chapel International, Archbishop-elect Elisha Salifu Amoako, that Ghana’s economy will grow by 7 per cent in the year 2022.

Ghana’s economy grew 6.6% in the third quarter of 2021, the statistical statistics service said , marking the fastest growth in gross domestic product since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

“That 6.6% growth rate that we recorded for the third quarter of 2021 is the closest we’ve got to the pre-2020 period, when COVID was just about to set in,” said government statistician Samuel Kobina Annim on Wednesday December 22, 2021.

“This growth rate that we recorded is edging us closer to the GDP growth rate that we recorded during the pre-COVID-19 era, keeping in mind that we did record a 9% growth rate in the first quarter of 2019,” he added.

As part of his prophecies during the 31st night service, Bishop Salifu Amoako was reported to have said that : “I see it raining in Ghana…The Lord said it is year of Ghana’s prosperity.

“I see a light moving on the continent of Africa … It eventually came to settle on Ghana… This year, all nations presidents, big men shall visit Ghana … and Ghana’s economy this year shall grow, it shall be better than last year. It will grow by 6 to 7 per cent. . This year the Finance of those who complain will heave a sigh of relief

Reacting to this news in a tweet, Bright Simons who is also Founder of mPedigree said “ Ghana Statistical Service clearly has a harder task ahead justifying multi-million dollar multi-year budgets (like the ~$170m 2018 to 2021 one) given the emergence of formidable alternatives.”
