A new year needs new thinking

Analysing the curriculums of many different nations it becomes obvious that teaching is meant to create the most effective workforce rather than raising the best possible citizens to push a society from level to level.

When man lived in caves or mud houses only families were isolated not in competition too much for food, water and space. As the number of humans grew competition set in for food, water, natural resources and the fight about the dominion of space and time. Humans identified the need for increased specialization and gathering knowledge. Academic education set in.

Education in schools is about passing on knowledge, the spirit of constant learning besides character and value building process.

In countries like Japan and South Korea, individual achievements do not count as much as the collective success of a group inside the society to make the society at large stand tall.

In countries like the USA, the achievements of the individuals are praised over common achievements creating a free society of "have and have nots" with education for the masses substantially on a low expensive level on all fronts. Countries like the UK, an elite society, a typical class society of a few at the top and the masses in their corner feeding the few privileged ones have raised limits for the middle class to push its way through the ranks.

Overpopulation, declining national resources, hunger for nutritious food and water, desire to be named in the book of history as the most influential and important nation of its time leads to a new level of education. Competing societies depend on a "new set of citizens", citizens no longer believing the state has to provide for them but the responsibility lies in the hands of the ones life is given to.

As that one single person stands wondering among Billions of others society must set standards and guide them to bring out their best in the light of the eyes of others. This unravels the fact each human is born for a different purpose. At an early age, it must be best found out to benefit the individual and society most from it. Someone gifted e.g. Politics, Social care, Arts and Medicine should not have to learn deep mathematics and physics at school as the facts and thinking behind these sciences will not be of any benefit.

The society best to understand simple facts of development in the ever-increasing competition of our closely connected world to eventually take the lead will understand the "new citizens" that are needed and be on top. More self-employed people will solve gaps in local and international markets at an even faster rate being constantly on the run to be better and better.

Africa seems to copy the mistakes made and are made in their former Colonial Masters territories. Once they disconnect themselves from these mistakes they will walk head up high through the open door of history to stand in Glory.
