Luxury Jets in the “Mist” of Killer Taxes and Joblessness?

Luxury Jets in the Mist of Killer Taxes and Joblessness?
24.11.2021 LISTEN

He may very well have credibly and legitimately earned his doctorate in whatever academic and/or professional field or discipline in which he worked for the same. But it equally goes without saying that any doctorate or doctoral-degree holder who cannot distinguish between the spelling of the preposition “Midst” or “Amidst” from the noun “Mist,” is highly likely to misspell his own Afropean name, in the present context, of “Hayford” as “Hayfod.” It would also be quite interesting to hear the so-called Executive-Director of the Caucus for Democratic Governance (CDG-GH) pronounce and explain to the rest of us, his global Ghanaian audience, the very meaning of his last or surname. You see, a man who cannot spell or explain the meaning of his own name and personal and cultural identity can also, of course, not be expected to intelligently or rationally gauge the administrative competence of unarguably the greatest and best performing Fourth Republican Ghanaian President or Leader (See “Resign or Face Impeachment – CDG-Ghana to Akufo-Addo” Modernghana.com 11/23/21). He may also need to take advantage of Nana Akufo-Addo’s Fee-Free Senior High School System.

To be certain, if any Ghanaian leader really needed to have resigned or being impeached at any time during the present Fourth-Republican Dispensation, that leader was, of course, none other than the man whom the late Chairman Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings, the acclaimed Founding-Father of the country’s main opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), authoritatively, incessantly and perennially characterized as the most thoroughgoing corrupt Ghanaian leader since Independence on March 6, 1957. As well, any mature and forward-looking and progressive-thinking Ghanaian citizen is fully aware of the fact that when most of us think of “Broad Daylight Robbery,” we are thinking of absolutely nothing short of the stark naked and morally and politically inexcusable extortion of the wantonly exploited Ghanaian taxpayer that was the globally infamous “European Airbus Payola Heist” of some € 5 Million, a veritably thievish act of criminality of the most heinous order that was tripled confirmed by the Serious Fraud Court of the three of the most powerful and technologically advanced countries in the world, namely, Great Britain, France and the United States of America.

As well, if any serious student of Fourth Republican Ghanaian history and politics really wants to understand the true nature of “Nepotism,” that student had better conduct a thorough research into the John Dramani Mahama-established infamous Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), the Guinea Fowl-Flying Gang of Kleptocrats whose sole qualification for Board-of-Governors Membership was Northern Ghanaian Descent or Birth. It is also irredeemably reflective of incurable ignorance bred of clinical obtuseness or downright stupidity for anybody to suppose that it is the Central Government that ought to be creating jobs for the overwhelming majority of Ghanaian citizenry. That is Command-Economy or Socialist Thinking. It has absolutely no place in the sort of progressive and neoliberal market-oriented democracy that distinguished Ghanaian leaders and citizens like the now-President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the late Prof. Albert Adu-Boahen, William “Paa Willie” Ofori-Atta, and B. J. DaRocha fiercely and relentless fought for against the Rawlings-Tsikata Tribal Dictatorship. Now, that is a classical example of political nepotism of the most egregious order, for the information of those who really care to know.

In reality, the primary and foremost role of Government is to induce an enabling and salutary entrepreneurial climate for the creation and development of livable and temporally sustainable jobs, and not the sort of decidedly nonexistent massive infrastructural jobs that the King of Dumsor is comically alleged to have created during the 8 years that Kwame Gonja occupied Jubilee House, as both the latter’s Assistant-Chief Resident and Substantive Chief Resident. Critic “Hayfod” would have served himself and his audience far better, if the leader of the so-called Caucus for Democratic Governance had listed the exact number of jobs that Paymaster Kwame Gonja had created under his so-called Savannah Accelerated Development Authority, for just one partial example. The man had absolutely no visionary or comprehensive National Development Agenda, all the highfalutin Green Book junk-talk notwithstanding. The real fact of the matter is that today, it is totally beyond dispute that under the leadership of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, far many more viable and employment-sustaining factories and industries have been created in the country, especially Up-North or Up-Country, than at anytime in the last 30 years of Ghana’s socioeconomic and political history.

Plus, the criminal and effective collapse and thorough bankrupting of the President John “Six Cars” Agyekum-Kufuor-established National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), for which the extant Executive-Director of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Mr. Sylvester Mensah, was conveniently scapegoated by Kwame Gonja with a House Arrest, ought to have sent the latter to prison for life. But, of course, nobody expects an “innocent” Mahama supplicant like the Executive-Director of the Caucus for Democratic Governance to highlight this most depraved act of national betrayal and the countless number of jobs that were lost in the process and, even more significantly, the $ 2 Billion (USD), or more, that the then recently elected President Akufo-Addo was forced to expend in the critical revival of the same, thereby saving the hundreds of thousands of NHIS jobs grossly incompetently lost under President Mahama.

We are also not reliably provided with any concrete figures vis-à-vis the exact number of hospitals, schools, universities and corporate enterprises allegedly established by the Mahama government and the number of jobs – both long- and short-term – that supposedly provided gainful employment for jobless Ghanaian citizens by the Mahama regime except, characteristically, some desultory hocus-pocus bunk about some “massive infrastructural projects” that supposedly provided some four to five years’ jobs under the Stygian Darkness of Dumsor which, by the way, completely collapsed more indigenous Ghanaian businesses than all past Ghanaian governments combined and still counting.

Ultimately, the most poignant and definitive response that intellectually impoverished Mahama shills and poodles like Dr. E. K. “Hayfod” deserve are the results of the 2016 and 2020 Presidential Elections, which continue to seismically concuss Kwame Gonja.
