Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina constituency is wondering whether Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia sited the 2022 budget it was presented to Ghanaians.
The MP who has been playing 'hide and seek' with the Ghana Police recently took to his Tweeter handle to ridicule the Vice President.
After the presentation of the 2022 budget statement, the Vice President was trolled on social media, making him number one on Tweeter trends on Thursday.
The reason is that a video of him in an interview with Peace FM’s Kwame Sefa Kayi suddenly went viral. In that video, the Vice President is heard strongly opposing taxing Mobile Money since, in his view, users of Mobile Money are poor.
Critics find Dr. Bawumia's statement ridiculous as someone who once opposed taxation of MoMo will sit and allow his members of economic team, he heads to propose the 1.7% levy on electronic transactions.
The Madina MP questions the essence of Dr. Bawumia as head of the economic management team.
