Francis A. Sogbordjor beat A. K. Akafo and Gyima Kwakye on countback after they had all scored 42 points, to win this year's Barclays Bank Ghana Limited Independence Day Golf Championship at the Achimota Golf Course on Saturday.
Robert Aziamakpor defeated Mike Aggrey and Charles Tabi on countback after the three were levelled on 41 points to take the fourth position in the competition, which attracted more than 120 participants.
Francisca Vandyck won in the Ladies category with 44 points; Yaa Konadu Safo-Debrah was second with 42 points while Rose Ayivor placed third with 41 points.
Mr Kobina Quansah, Managing Director of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited presented a cheque for 10 million cedis to the club.
He said the bank has set aside five million cedis to be given to any golfer who hits Hole-In-One on Whole 18 which has not been scored for the past three years.
Nana Wereko Ampem II, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the bank, presented the prizes to the winners.
