The Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCIF-PFS would like to extend its warmest congratulations and best wishes to the Governments of Sierra Leone and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on the occasion of the 31st Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries.
The two friendly countries cooperate closely in the Non-Align Movement (NAM) and at the United Nations, to promote peace, stability and prosperity. They both share the common goal of preserving the security and stability in Africa, Latin America and the entire world together with Allies and partners.
We are truly delighted to witness that over the past 31 years, the friendly relations and good cooperation between Sierra Leone and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela have been continuously developed. The two countries share close ties spanning many sectors, including trade and investment, culture and people-to-people exchanges. We firmly believe that the said ties of cooperation and solidarity will be further strengthened in the years to come for the mutual benefit of the two nations.
On this occasion, we would like to urge the two countries to work expeditiously on removing existing barriers and addressing the debilitating effect of the Corona virus (COVID-19), strengthening cooperation in education, agriculture, culture, commerce and industry. Sierra Leone and Venezuela established diplomatic relations on October 29, 1990.
We take this auspicious occasion therefore, to wish the two countries continued progress and prosperity.
Long Live Sierra Leone-Venezuelan solidarity!
