The government of Ghana has announced that it has taken delivery of additional 532,000 additional doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to boost the ongoing vaccination exercise in the country.
The government has been administering jabs of the Covid-19 to Ghanaians as part of efforts to combat the global pandemic.
Already over a million Ghanaians have been fully vaccinated.
In its effort to continue the vaccination of Ghanaians, the government has now received Over 532,000 additional doses of AstraZeneca as confirmed by the Ministry of Information on Wednesday night.
Currently, Ghana’s Covid-19 situation appears contained per the data on the website of the Ghana Health Service.
The number of active cases has reduced to 2,891.
Out of the 128,159 cases recorded since March 2020, 124,111 have fully recovered with 1,157 deaths.
Ghanaians are advised and encouraged to continue adhering to the Covid-19 safety protocols for the protection of all.
