NPP Though Akufo-Addo will not be on the ballot in 2024, punish him by voting NPP out for enhancing his insensitive, reckless leadership — Apaak
SEP 23, 2021 LISTEN

Member of Parliament for Builsa South, Dr. Clement Apaak is asking Ghanaians to punish President Akufo-Addo for ignoring their plights especially in corruption-related issues regarding himself and his appointees.

He said it is obvious the President cares less about what Ghanaians think or expect of him.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, the Builsa South MP noted that even though the President will no longer be going to Ghanaians to campaign for himself, the only way they can punish him is by voting against his party, New Patriotic Party.

“As evidenced, consider his reaction and conduct regarding the unjustified use of tax payers money to rent and fly around in luxury jets; look at his reaction to the fraudulent Sputnik V deal; look at his reaction to the issue surrounding the former and current Auditor General, just to mention a few.

“But you see, Akufo-Addo's disregard and lack of respect for Ghanaians is condoned by the NPP as a party. The party accepts his impetuous and inconsiderate conduct.

“Though Akufo-Addo will not be on the ballot in 2024, Ghanaians have an opportunity to exact their pound of flesh by punishing the NPP in both the presidential and parliamentary polls for 'birthing' him and enhancing his insensitive and reckless leadership,” he noted.

The MP’s comment was necessitated by the renting of what the Minority in Parliament describes as a luxury jet to the United Nation’s General Assembly.

The jet is said to be costing the nation some $14,000 per hour.

The Minority led by its Ranking Member for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has criticized the President for what they call profligacy when he, indeed, promised to safeguard the public purse.

His Facebook post has been published below:

Use of Private Jets And Matters Arising - Folks it is obvious that Akufo-Addo cares less about what Ghanaians think and or expect of him. Anytime there is public outcry about his conduct or that of his appointees, his response to or reaction is, go to hell, go burn the sea.

As evidenced, consider his reaction and conduct regarding the unjustified use of tax payers money to rent and fly around in luxury jets; look at his reaction to the fraudulent Sputnik V deal; look at his reaction to the issue surrounding the former and current Auditor General, just to mention a few.

But you see, Akufo-Addo's disregard and lack of respect for Ghanaians is condoned by the NPP as a party. The party accepts his impetuous and inconsiderate conduct.

Though Akufo-Addo will not be on the ballot in 2024, Ghanaians have an opportunity to exact their pound of flesh by punishing the NPP in both the presidential and parliamentary polls for 'birthing' him and enhancing his insensitive and reckless leadership. Say no to NPP on December 7th 2024, you deserve better.

I remain a Citizen!
