Allianz Insurance, a subsidiary of global insurance giant, Allianz Group on Friday, September 17, 2021 has launched a consumer-reward promotion dubbed 'Allianz Cares' to give free branded Allianz first aid kits to customers.

The promotion, which is the first of its kind in Ghana's insurance industry will run from 17h September to 31 March 2022 with terms and conditions.

To get the free first aid kit, both new and existing customers have to purchase a motor or home and personal accident insurance package from any Allianz Insurance office in Accra, Kumasi, Tema and Takoradi.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Insurance, Darlington Munhuwani said: "As a customer centric brand that has operated in Ghana for over a decade, the voice of the customer informs what we do with regards to product features and overall services.

"Our day-to-day interactions with customers has helped us to gather insights on their needs and how we can enhance their experience with the Allianz brand. This promotion is confirmation of the Allianz's dedication to its customers wellbeing."

He explained that the Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted lives both at a personal and business level, adding that: "As a caring brand, we are committed to keeping our customers and communities safe."

Mr Munhuwani continued, "We would not be where we are today without the support of our clients, that is the reason we are rewarding and putting the health and safety of our customers at the forefront of this promotion."

Through the Allianz Cares promo, he said the company aims to raise awareness of the importance of first aid and how in as little as five minutes, a life can be saved at home or whilst travelling.

"We go through our daily lives knowing fully well that health risks can occur- yet many don't have first aid kits in their cars and homes. It's time for every Ghanaian to own a first aid kit, and this is our contribution to this campaign. This will help save lives in emergency situations, he added.

Gracing the short launching ceremony as its special guest, Stella Jonah who is the senior manager at the office of the commissioner at the National Insurance Commission (NIC) commended Allianz Insurance for the initiative.

“On behalf of the Commissioner, I extend my congratulations to Allianz for this initiative. We are optimistic that this initiative will significantly improve public safety and bring long-term returns to the company," Stella Jonah stated.

Emphasising that the growth of Insurance hinges on trust, she urged Allianz Insurance to nurture loyalty by meeting and fulfilling the promise given to customers.

She said, at the NIC, they are keen on creating the necessary platform to make insurance thrive while adding that Allianz Insurance should take advantage of the vast opportunities in the Ghanaian market.
