Shed no tears for Reverend Owusu Bempah

Shed no tears for Reverend Owusu Bempah
15.09.2021 LISTEN

Obstinacy is the cause of the horns of the hornbill. No amount of useful advice is sufficient to change an obstinate person but problem.

I had in the past published about two articles admonishing Reverend Owusu Bempah to limit what had become as his fame-seeking public prophecies and to stop hurtling to media houses granting interviews on his general election prophetic predictions.

I felt sorry and ashamed to see my own Juaben-Ashanti compatriot always come under bashing by the enemies of the political divide his prophecies do favour hence my said published advice to him.

Whether he saw the articles and read them is one thing and whether he adhered to them is another.

For his relationship with the sitting president, he should have known better to restrain himself from responding to tempting but false accusations levelled against him by some political and religious detractors who have cause to envy him.

Nevertheless, he could not value that relationship as it should but rather became swollen-headed to conduct himself irresponsibly.

Having his junior pastors always responding to attacks on him by his rivals was irresponsible of a man of God, if indeed he is one.

Why can't he ignore his enemies, leaving them to their own evil devices, wobble in their ignorance, envy and stupidity but to respond to them and their attacks?

His lack of foresight to see what his enemies were up to has now landed him in this shitty situation where he is caught neck, hands and legs-tied by the law.

This puts his friend the president in an awkward position. Notwithstanding, he should not seek to draw the president into his debacle by expecting the president to intervene to release him from his entanglements with the law.

He must be a man enough to man up and own up.

Let him see his problem as something come to reform him for good to make him a better prophet and a better law-abiding citizen.

God is with him. God will find a way to get him out of his trouble.

His current problem is to strengthen the law enforcement in the nation for the betterment of all and sundry.

If he, a friend of the president, can be arrested and made to face the law squarely without favour, so shall and other person breaching the law will be dealt with without fear or favour.

May God strengthen Reverend Owusu Bempah and his boys wherever they are.
