An Ashanti Regional Youth Organiser hopeful of the New Patriotic Party has wished his party a Happy Day in a manner that has got people thinking.

Isaac Bonsu, popularly known as IB, has called on members of the ruling party, especially the leaders to unite and enhance their long stay in power.

Recounting the history of their party, he said founders of the United Party (UP) tradition could not have succeeded and had their names written in gold if they were united in purpose.

"We have all been recounting the great deeds of Danquah, Busia and Dombo today and many youth in our party aspire to be like them, but how could they have brought us all into this fraternity if they were not united”, he noted.

The Youth Organiser hopeful noted that deliberately creating divisions among party members because of greed will only lead them into opposition.

He advised that “let’s all put aside every camp and know that we all have one camp; the Great NPP and together let’s work hard to break the 8”.

IB indicated that if six people could be so united and fight for the independence of Ghana “can we imagine how profitable the unity of all our current leadership will be to the party and Mother Ghana?"

The whole country, he noted, wish the NPP would stay in power forever for the massive socio-economic development witnessed within this era would continue but added, "unity and oneness is what we need."

He continued, “As we celebrate six people today, let us know that the unity of more than those six would be stronger and more dreaded to be dealt with.”
