Inusah Fuseini Is a Nation-Wrecking Criminal Politician – Part 1

Inusah Fuseini Is a Nation-Wrecking Criminal Politician – Part 1
11.06.2021 LISTEN

Instead of cavalierly calling for a probe into the recent burning of some Chinese-made Chanfang excavators found to be engaged in the environmentally destructive small-scale illegal-mining activities by authorized personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Mr. Inusah Fuseini ought to be commending President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for, finally, radically embarking on what none of his four predecessors either did not have the guts or the will and capacity to do. Which is fiercely fighting for the protection of the sanctity and integrity of our waterbodies, landed and forestry resources and, in effect, the very existence, both short-term and long-term, of the citizens of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana (See “Inusah Fuseini Demands Probe into Burning of Equipment Owned by Licensed Small-Scale Miners” Modernghana.com 5/17/21).

The former National Democratic Congress’ Member of Parliament for the Tamale-Central Constituency did little to absolutely nothing to halt the environmentally destructive activities of the so-called licensed small-scale miners that he now appears to be fervidly interested in protecting, as the John Dramani Mahama-appointed Minister for Lands and Natural Resources. Rather, under the tenure of Mr. Fuseini, the harmful impact of illegal mining activities on the country’s waterbodies, forest reserves and animal and plant species got even worse. By the time that Nana Akufo-Addo acceded to the Presidency, in January 2017, it was patently clear and universally obvious that unless some emergency policy measures were put in place, according to ecologists and other environmental experts, Ghana was set to become a net importer of potable water.

To make matters even worse, shortly after he had been democratically ousted from Jubilee House, which he cynically insists on renaming as the Flagstaff House, Mr. John “European Airbus Payola” Dramani Mahama embarked on a massive pro-Galamsey campaign that was specifically and primarily aimed at derailing Nana Akufo-Addo’s salutary environmental reclamation policy initiative. Mr. Mahama’s rather absurd and criminal reason for vigorously campaigning for the total destruction of the country’s natural resources was that Ghanaian youths were woefully underemployed and had absolutely no other viable alternative for making ends meet other than to continue to wantonly destroy our lands, waterbodies, plant and animal species and other natural resources. The recently defeated three-time Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress, under the specious guise of temporarily suspending his 2020 Presidential-Election Campaign, is widely documented to have dispatched paid campaign propagandists to relentlessly promote his intended genocidal revival of the destructive activities of small-scale illegal mining in the event of being returned to power.

In short, what the preceding means is that had he been voted back to power, it is very certain that Ghana would have already begun importing most of its potable water needs from abroad. Indeed, even as a Member of Parliament on the ticket of the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress, Mr. Fuseini and at least a dozen of his fellow NDC parliamentarians, including Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, the current Parliamentary Minority Leader and NDC-MP for Tamale-South, in the Northern Region, lost whatever vestigial modicum of credibility that they might have had when they were discovered to have thievishly arranged with some other Mahama insiders in the Treasury and Finance departments of the government to have themselves illegally paid double salaries, for holding cabinet portfolios alongside of their parliamentary positions, even though the Constitution prohibited such remunerative double-dipping. One of the tragic ironies of the much-touted crime-fighting prowess of the first Akufo-Addo Administration is the unforgivable fact that thievish and brazenly self-righteous Mahama operatives like Messrs. Iddrisu and Fuseini were never arraigned before a legitimately constituted court of the land and rigorously prosected.

Equally ironically, thievish politicians like the aforementioned Mahama operatives would later thumb their nostrils at the key operatives of the first Akufo-Addo Administration and claim that under the watch of the former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, the already unacceptably high level of corruption on the eve of Nana Akufo-Addo’s assumption of the reins of democratic governance had skyrocketed even higher. All the while, these nose-thumbing critics of the newly elected President were desperately running the back alleyways, knees on the floor, literally weeping uncontrollably and begging some of our major traditional rulers to intercede on their behalf, so that the scummy likes of Messrs. Mahama Ayariga, Haruna Iddrisu and Inusah Fuseini could avoid well-deserved prosecution and prison sentences. And avoid condign punishment, these most crooked of Fourth Republican Ghanaian politicians more than did.
