The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has embarked on agenda to fix his constituency.

He is constructing a 3kilometer asphalt road in the New Winneba Community.

The project which started in March and scheduled to end in August this year connects the newly built library, community centre and secondary school.

The road, when completed will also give access to the new residential properties being built in the constituency.

Some constituents in Effutu says they are happy with Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin simply because he is touching the hearts of the people with his development-oriented approach.

Aside his continuous visits to the constituency, they said the lawmaker has put aside the political differences and engaged all groups on non-partisan ways to develop the constituency for the benefit of all.

This was made possible with the construction of a functional office in the constituency purposely to help bridge the gap between MP and the constituents.

The lawmaker who doubles as Deputy Majority Leader as part of his responsibilities to his constituents on January 15, this year commissioned a newly constructed community library for the people of Winneba.

The facility adds up to some 13 others undertaken by the legislator in 14 different communities.

Mr Afenyo-Markin also handed over a Health Centre he constructed at Effutu Gyahadze and named after the late Nana Heitey I, first chief of the community last year.
