Opinion: Diabolical Agenda to discredit Kennedy Kankam over Kumasi MCE appointment falls flat

Kennedy Kwasi Kankam has been tipped among power brokers to be the next Kumasi Mayor

It appears the former Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso in the Ashanti regional capital, Kennedy Kwasi Kankam has come under siege over his supposed appointment as Mayor of Kumasi.

Deep throat sources at the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) have hinted that a powerful personality (name withheld for now) has contracted some leading assembly members to defame and discredit the former MP to get him disqualified.

It also follows a recent rejection scheme pushed down on the throat of a top presenter at a radio station, which led to a serious misunderstanding between the production team and the presenter.

"The presenter boldly told them he will not be part of the wicked agenda being set by honorable against Mr. Kankam”, our source stated pleading anonymity.

Meanwhile, a team of current and former Assembly Members of KMA who are known to be vociferous and avowed haters of the former MP have been arranged to go on a tour through some radio and television stations in the guise of talking about Local Governance but purposefully to disingenuously discredit Hon Kennedy Kankam.

Seeing that their wicked falsities against Hon Kankam in Kumasi have been fell flat, they have switched to Plan B, and that is to go on some radio and TV stations in Accra to continue this 'wickedness.'

In fact, it is very sad, to say the least why because of politics we do this to ourselves. The current Chief knowing very well that he is on his way out is showing open bravado and desperation.

They believe that going around TV stations and radio stations will do them some good that’s where they would be closer to the appointing authorities and they think they can be heard clearly

We are closely monitoring their operations and will expose them and their paymaster should these wicked agenda continue.
