President of DISTINSA calls on National Chief Imam

President of the Distinguished Scholars of Africa (DISTINSA), Lawyer Dr Nana Oppong, has paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam, Sheik Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Shaributu in his residence at Fadama in Accra.

The visit was to officially introduce the organization and to formally present a copy of a book he authored, titled "Authority" to the cleric.

Dr. Oppong said Allah gave the Authority of the world to humans and that the whole world resolves around authority which is the fifth and most important factor of production apart from the four traditional ones known to man.

He said the westerners have known this factor and made use of it making them take control of global affairs. He emphasized that not until Ghana and the rest of the African continent harness this fifth factor – Authority, which emerged after a scientific study, the continent will continue to lay behind in global affairs and in development.

Dr. Oppong himself a Moslem and an Islamic Scholar of international repute praised the National Chief Imam for the immense role he has played in the lives of Moslems across the country over the years and called for Allah's guidance and protection for him in the years ahead.

Sheik Dr Nuhu Shaributu - the longest serving National Chief Imam who turns 102 on next Friday, congratulated the author and for the foresight and discovery and prayed for Allah's guidance and strength for him even as he goes about propagating this scientific discovery.

The cleric was hopeful that Dr Oppong's discovery will go a long way to improve the fortunes of the Ghana and the rest of the continent.
